ABC Hopes was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2012. A dedicated sister, daughter and community member felt compelled to help build a community that provides greater opportunity for her younger brother, Christopher, who was born with Down syndrome. Having Down syndrome has not stopped Christopher, or any of our Hopers, from living their life to the fullest. ABC Hopes was founded with a focus on bettering the lives of persons with intellectual disabilities through the development of social, physical and life skills programs. Starting with farmer's markets, chairing the 2015 Host Town City for the Special Olympics, and ABC Hopes Fitness, community was at the center of all. ABC Hopes fitness program serve Riverside, Orange, and North San Diego Counties. In June 2022, just shy of 10 years as an organization, ABC Hopes found it’s HOME in a 6,000 square foot facility in Corona. The ABC Hopes WhereHouse is a place: WHERE we get fit, WHERE we have fun, and WHERE we are free to be. We launched our ''Extra Innings Program'' which provides social, educational and life skill opportunities with arts & crafts, cooking & baking, classroom learning, and engage the community to provide workshops. Also, we now offer fitness classes every day at 11AM and Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm. Through the support of our community, businesses, families, and friends – ABC Hopes continues to grow and expand. There is no doubt ABC Hopes is well on the way to providing our community the resources we need!
